Day 1: Phnom Penh Arrival (-/-/-)

Arrive Phnom Penh and transfer to hotel for check-in. Remainder of day at leisure.

Day 2: Phnom Penh city tour (B/-/-)

Full Day sightseeing i.e. city tour & killing fields

Visit to the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum, Wat Phnom, Independent Monument, Toul Sleng and Killing Field.

Day 3: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap (B/-/-)

Transfer to Phnom Penh Airport for onward flight to Siem Reap (11:30-12:15 hrs or similar)

Note - Flight times to be confirmed.

Arrive Siem Reap Airport and transfer to hotel for check-in.  

Stueng Siem Reap Hotel for FOUR nights (3 nights & late checkout). Twin / Single Superior Rooms including breakfast

Day 4: Siem Reap (B/-/-)

We ride to the Angkor Temple complex before starting the Grand Circuit, stopping at each major temple area. At sunset we return to the temples by car for a sunset view from Phnom Bakheng.

Day 5: Siem Reap (B/-/D)

Today we leave the crowds behind and head towards the small village of Roulous, home to some of the earliest permanent structures built by the Khmers and then head to the floating village of Kampong Phluck. After a boat tour around the village we cycle or drive back to Siem Reap. Return to hotel to freshen up for dinner.

Day 6: Siem Reap – Hanoi (B/-/D)

Morning, visit to Angkor Wat, afternoon at leisure before transfer to Siem Reap Airport for your onward flight to Hanoi, Vietnam.

Arrive Ha Noi International Airport, where you will be met by your English Speaking Guide and transferred by private car to hotel for check-in. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner at local BBQ or Pancake Restaurant. Serenade Hotel for TWO nights.

Ideally situated along the Old Quarter Street, a few minutes walk or drive to restaurants, commercial centers and souvenir shops - everything from the genuine old-time general stores to the sleekest of modern shopping complexes to the unique boutiques and specialty traditional Vietnamese souvenirs. Day 7: Hanoi (B/-/-)  

Morning city tour of Hanoi - The tour begins with Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum where the embalmed corpse of the late President Ho was laid to rest. Nearby is the HCM Museum, HCM's house on stilts - where Ho Chi Minh lived from 1957 until he passed away on 1969, and the One Pillar Pagoda. Then move on to visit the Temple of Literature - the first University in Vietnam, built in 1070 and rebuilt by Government in 2000. Afternoon Walking Tour of the old quarter of Ha Noi takes you down the fascinating streets of the area.

Day 8: Hanoi – Ninh Binh (B/L/-)

Full day Ninh Binh tour with cycling. Drive to Ninh Binh and then cycle from Hoa Lu to Tam Coc Bich Dong and village (Approximately 16 kms). Lunch at local restaurant. Return to your Ha Noi hotel late afternoon for overnight.   

Day 9: Ninh Binh – Hanoi – Hue (B/-/D)

Transfer to Ha Noi Airport for your midday flight to Hue (VN 1543 1220-1330hrs). Arrive Hue and transfer to hotel late afternoon for check-in and freshen up prior to dinner. 

Dinner at An Dinh Vien or similar local restaurant. Park View Hotel for TWO nights

This hotel is strategically located in the heart of Hue, with spectacular views of the whole city, close to the tranquil and picturesque Perfume River, and to all the renowned tourist attractions. Only a-10 minute walk to Hue Citadel and the prime commercial, shopping and entertainment areas. Hotel facilities include a restaurant, coffee shop, internet facilities and outdoor swimming pool. Day 10: Hue (B/L/-)

Full Day Hue Tour.  Start tour with a visit to Tu Duc & Khai Dinh Tomb. Continue to Tu Hieu Pagoda. Lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch cruise down the Perfume River by boat to Thien Mu Pagoda. Continue the visit to the ancient Citadel area (Vietnam’s Forbidden City) and explore Dong Ba Market before transferring back to hotel for overnight.

Day 11: Hue – Hoi An (B/L/-)

Transfer from Hue to Hoi An via the famous Hai Van pass. Start cycling from Thuan An Beach to Hoi An (cycling section over 90km/day or shorter). Stop for lunch on the way.  Arrive Hoi An and check into hotel for overnight.

Note – Support is available for anyone not wanting to cycle. Support Vehicle is a van or mini bus and will take all passengers and 1 x truck for transporting bikes. Hoi An Hotel for THREE nights

This large hotel occupies lush and spacious grounds in the heart of the Ancient town. With 160 comfortable rooms they all feature modern rooms with tea and coffee facilities. Hotel facilities include a large outdoor pool, tennis court, a restaurant and bar, business centre and the beautiful Zen Spa offering a number of treatment room. Day 12: Hoi An (B/L/-)

This morning visit Hoi An ancient town on a walking tour around the ancient town of Hoi An. Visit the Tan Ky house; Japanese bridge; Hoi Quan Phuc Kien pagoda and Hoi An markets. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon is free at leisure.

Day 13: Hoi An & Surroundings (B/L/-)

Half Day cycling to Tra Que Village. 

Cycle out to Tra Que where the villagers grow the vegetables that supply the town; visit old Japanese tombs; meander through the rice fields and visit a shrimp farm where, if you’re feeling energetic, you can help the farmer with his work! Enjoy lunch, a foot massage and cooking school at Tra Que Village. Return back to Hoi An early afternoon. Remainder of afternoon is at leisure.

Hoi An was a major Asian trading centre and is now one of the most popular places to visit in Vietnam with its charming cobblestone streets and old shop houses. A wonderful town for getting clothes tailor-made or for buying art and souvenirs. Hoi An also boasts an excellent beach.                                                                                                                                                            

Day 14: Hoi An – Danang – Saigon (B/-/-)

Transfer from Hoi An to Danang Airport for your flight to Saigon. (VN1317 1330 1440hrs). Arrive Saigon Airport and transfer to hotel for check-in. Duxton Hotel for THREE nights. A smart modern hotel offering all the conveniences one expects from a top hotel chain. Lobby lounge, bar, restaurants and a swimming pool. Located a few blocks from the Saigon River and close to the main shopping and restaurant areas of Saigon. Twin / Single Deluxe Rooms including breakfast

Day 15: Saigon (B/-/-)

Morning Saigon city tour. Visit Cholon (China Town) – the wholesale market, Thien Hau Pagoda, Notre Dame Cathedral.  

Day 16: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnel (B/L/-)

Transfer to the outskirts of Saigon by road and then cycle to Cu Chi Tunnels (30kms). Stop at a local restaurant near the tunnels for lunch. The infamous Cu Chi Tunnels are 30km outside of Saigon. Dug by hand the tunnels were home to the Viet Cong during the US war. A video shows their use and parts have been excavated for you to see inside. Return to outskirt of Saigon by bike and then transfer by road back to your hotel with a visit to the War Museum on way back to hotel for overnight and relax prior to your 4-Day Mekong Delta Tour.

Day 17: Mekong Delta 4D/3N Cycle Tour

Saigon – Cai Be (B/L/D) Ride 18-30 km        
We depart Saigon by vehicle to clear the main busy roads, then begin our cycle adventure as we ride to Cai Be along the quieter back roads. Tonight experience local hospitality with our stay in a typical Vietnamese lodge. Overnight at Mekong Lodge.

Day 18: Cai Be - Vinh LongTra Vinh (B/L/D)  Cycle 40 km                 

This morning enjoy a boat journey to one of the islands in the mighty Mekong River. Cycle along country lanes passing orchards and observing the colourful life on the river. Expect children to wave frantically as you pass. A Sampan (boat) takes us across the river before finishing at the Khmer town of Tra Vinh. Overnight at Cuu Long Hotel

Day 19: Tra Vinh – Can Tho (B/L/D) Cycle 40 km             

Today we ride through some of the smaller Khmer villages and visit local temples for their interesting architecture. This is a peaceful and very pretty ride all the way to Can Tho. Overnight at Ninh Kieu Hotel

Day 20: Can Tho – Saigon (B/L/D) Cycle 40km               

Time to visit the early morning market by bicycle at Phong Dien. Then continue cycling along the river and small roads before finishing at our lunch stop. After lunch transfer by vehicle back to Saigon (4 hours) for overnight.

7.00pm: Farewell dinner at local BBQ Restaurant. Saigon Prince Hotel for ONE night. Twin / Single Deluxe Rooms including breakfast

Road Surface: This tour follows a mixture of well-surfaced roads and small dirt roads.
